Tap-In (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Tap-In mobile application or purchasing from our website thetapinapp.net, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Scope & Who We Are
This Privacy Policy is issued by Famedia LLC, a limited liability company, operating under the trade name Tap-In (“we,” “us,” or “our”). References to “Tap-In” throughout this policy refer to Famedia LLC d/b/a Tap-In.
This policy applies to users of the Tap-In iOS application and visitors to thetapinapp.net (the “Site”). The Site is built on WordPress using the Elementor page builder and is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider. Purchases are processed through Shopify’s Buy Button integration.
Tap-In is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@thetapinapp.net and we will promptly delete it.
By using the Tap-In app or purchasing from thetapinapp.net, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Registration (App)
When you create a Tap-In account, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
We use this information to create and authenticate your account via a one-time email verification code. This data is stored securely in our cloud database, hosted on Supabase.
B. Purchase Information (Website)
When you purchase a Tap-In keychain through thetapinapp.net, the transaction is processed through Shopify’s Buy Button, which is embedded on our WordPress site. The following information is collected in connection with your purchase:
- Full Name
- Email address
- Billing and shipping address
- Payment information — card details are processed and encrypted by Shopify’s payment processor and are never stored by us
- Order history and purchase amounts
- IP address, browser type, and device information (collected by Shopify at checkout)
Shopify acts as a data processor on our behalf for all purchase transactions. You can review Shopify’s privacy practices at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
C. Website Infrastructure (WordPress / Hosting)
Our website is built on WordPress with the Elementor page builder, hosted by a third-party web hosting provider. As part of normal website operation, the following may be collected automatically:
- IP addresses and approximate geographic location (via server logs maintained by our hosting provider)
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referral sources (via analytics tools)
- Technical log files generated by WordPress for security and performance purposes
WordPress and our hosting provider process this data solely to operate, secure, and improve the Site. This data is not used to identify you personally unless required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.
D. Contact Form Submissions
If you submit a message through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, selected inquiry topic, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not added to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
E. Device Permissions (App)
Tap-In requests access to Screen Time (Family Controls) on your iOS device solely to enable the app-blocking feature during workouts. This permission operates entirely on your device. No information about which apps are blocked, your app usage patterns, or your workout activity is ever transmitted to our servers or stored by us.
F. Cookies and Tracking (Website)
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. This may include cookies set by WordPress, Elementor, Shopify’s Buy Button, or analytics tools. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site functionality may be affected.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your Tap-In account
- Send you a one-time verification code to authenticate your login
- Process and fulfill your product orders
- Send transactional emails related to your purchase (order confirmations, shipping updates)
- Send marketing emails, which may include product updates, newsletters, and workout tips. You can opt out of these at any time (see Section 6)
- Respond to customer support and contact form inquiries
- Maintain the security, performance, and operation of our website and app

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following third-party service providers solely to operate our business:

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Purchase records may be retained for longer periods as required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance purposes.

6. Communication Preferences
By creating an account or making a purchase, you may receive the following types of communications:
- Transactional emails – order confirmations, shipping updates, and login verification codes. These are necessary for service delivery and cannot be opted out of while your account is active or an order is in progress.
- Marketing emails – newsletters, product updates, and workout tips. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly at info@thetapinapp.net
We do not currently send SMS messages. If we introduce SMS communications in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be given the opportunity to opt in explicitly.

App account data is stored on Supabase, which employs industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit. Purchase transactions are secured by Shopify’s PCI-compliant infrastructure.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Tap-In is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at info@thetapinapp.net and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
If changes are material, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or through a prominent notice on the Site or in the app prior to the change becoming effective. Continued use of Tap-In after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
